Currency

Local currency is the Ringgit Malaysia (RM). Visitors may buy Ringgit Malaysia at all licensed money changers with major foreign currencies and travellers cheques.

Credit cards, such as Visa, Mastercard, Diners and American Express card are widely accepted.

Language

The national language is Bahasa Malaysia, but English and Chinese are widely spoken.

Malaysia enjoys a warm sunny weather all year round. Temperature averages between 21°C and 32°C (69°F to 90°F). The rainy season begins in August/September and lasts until late January.

Clothing

Casual, lightweight clothing is recommended.
